
This can be used in the weekly program, or as a longer “field day” or summertime event. The “referees” can use an air horn or whistle to signal if the contestants miss an obstacle. (rules can be adjusted to suit age group and level Of competitiveness of participants).
Obstacles to include:
Pool noodle run (round pool noodles are more portable than tires).
Tennis Net Crawl/tarp crawl/cargo net crawl—Crawl under net.
Haybale Pyramid or other haybale Obstacles.
Tube Crawl—Use an agility tube.
Loop crawl—Make a loop course with hula hoops and/or pool noodles.
Balance Beam—make low beam out of multiple 4×4’s, use stakes to stick into ground.
Spider Web/cargo net—Hop through net holes.
Sled Drag—A winter toboggan with water bucket(s) in it, contestants have to pull to line without knocking buckets out.
Traverse wall, or A-wall—May be too heavy/time consuming to use/set up.
Over/under—make with haybales and hoops/pool noodles.
